HOUSTON – A man has been sentenced to life in prison for the murder of Jeffrey Limmer, a 46-year-old attorney who was fatally shot at a McDonald’s along the West Interstate 10 service road in May of 2024.
The trial began on Monday for Anthony Martin Landry, 58, for Limmer’s death. He was sentenced on Thursday.
What happened
According to Houston police, the incident happened around 6 p.m. on May 4, 2024, at 8147 Katy Freeway.
Officers responding to the scene found Limmer unresponsive with multiple gunshot wounds. Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene.
Investigators said the fatal confrontation began after a verbal disagreement inside the restaurant. Landry, dissatisfied with his order and seeking a refund, reportedly argued with staff. Limmer, an attorney with Lewis Brisbois law firm, attempted to calm the situation.
Police said the argument spilled outside, and after Limmer pushed Landry to the ground, Landry retrieved a gun from his vehicle and shot him twice.
Landry fled the scene in an early 2000s blue Ford pickup truck. He turned himself in to Houston police on May 10, 2024, and was booked into the Harris County Jail.
