Major head-on collision involving wrong-way driver in Spring closes westbound lanes near I-45

A major head-on collision in Spring has closed westbound lanes on Spring Stuebner Road, just off I-45.

Constable deputies reported that a wrong-way driver was involved in the crash on the 1700 block of Spring Stuebner Road, close to Spring Plaza Drive.

Our Sky 2 Chopper was over the scene of the incident. The crash appeared to involve a grey sedan and a red pickup truck that was towing a trailer carrying a gold SUV. It’s unclear which driver was driving on the wrong side of the road in the crash.

One person was trapped inside a vehicle, and EMS and fire crews were on the scene working to assist the possible victims.

Authorities are urging drivers to use caution and expect significant delays as emergency personnel manage the scene.

No updates have been released regarding the condition of the drivers involved.
