1,200 pounds of marijuana seized, 18 people detained by ICE at Stafford warehouse

STAFFORD, Texas – More than 1,000 pounds of marijuana were seized during a multi-agency narcotics operation at a Stafford warehouse on Wednesday.

The Stafford Police Department, along with the Drug Enforcement Administration and multiple other agencies, executed a search warrant in the 4000 block of Greenbriar Drive.

The operation is part of an ongoing narcotics investigation.

During the operation, officials found a significant illegal marijuana warehouse with several undocumented individuals working inside.

The individuals were detained and identified as nationals of Mexico, Honduras, Guatemala, and El Salvador. They are now being processed for deportation by ICE.

Investigators also seized approximately 1,200 pounds of marijuana.

Participating agencies included the Stafford Police Department, Missouri City Police Department, Rosenberg Police Department, Houston Police Department, Harris County Sheriff’s Office, Texas Department of Public Safety, Homeland Security Investigations, U.S. Customs and Border Protection, U.S. Border Patrol, and the Drug Enforcement Administration.
