LIBERTY COUNTY, Texas – A woman was killed and another man and woman were hurt after a fatal crash involving a Utility Terrain Vehicle (UTV) in Liberty County.
According to Texas DPS Sgt. Erik Burse, the crash happened around 1 a.m. Saturday at 610 County Road 133 south of Liberty.
Burse said the UTV, driven by Liberty County Pct. 1 Constable Tammy Bishop, was traveling southwest on the roadway and was going at an unsafe speed when it left the roadway.
Bishop and the other two aboard the UTV were ejected.
A female passenger died in the crash. Bishop and another passenger, a man, were taken to a hospital.
Texas DPS is still investigating the crash.
