ATASCOCITA, Texas – Authorities have a man behind bars after they say he shot his ex-girlfriend late Sunday night outside her driveway in northeast Harris County.
Investigators identified the woman as Colencia Davidson, 39, an employee at the Texas Department of Criminal Justice.
Preliminary information from the Harris Co. Sheriff’s Office is that Davidson’s ex-boyfriend, later identified as Thomas Sonnier, shot her as she and a friend left a club and got back to her home on Upper Lake Drive around 11:30 p.m. in Atascocita.
Sonnier is also said to share children with Davidson.

Deputies tell KPRC 2 Sonnier shot the 39-year-old several times after she got out of her girl friend’s car.
