Teen shot to death in Galena Park, person of interest arrested

HOUSTON – Authorities are trying to figure out what led up to a teenager getting shot and killed in Galena Park Sunday evening.

It’s unclear exactly how everything unfolded but Harris County Pct. 5 deputies said they were called to Keene and 13th Street, adjacent to the basketball court around 7 p.m.

When officers arrived, they found the unidentified 16-year-old shot to death. Galena Park police later arrived at the scene and confirmed a person of interest was taken into custody, but could not share any further details.
