TxDOT has placed a commemorative sign near the crash site of Mya Sinceno-Martinez, offering both a tribute and a warning against the dangers of drunk driving.
BACKGROUND: Driver killed in Deer Park after crash from driving on wrong side of road
The collision happened Sept. 21, 2024, on SH-225 Eastbound , when an impaired driver killed Sinceno-Martinez.
TxDOT’s Houston District shared images of the sign, which was created through the TxDOT Memorial Sign Program in honor of Mya and her family.
This program allows loved ones to purchase and install a sign at crash sites to honor victims and raise awareness about the dangers of impaired driving.
