Bomb-squad determines grenade found in Cypress garage had no explosives in it

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – Explosive disposure specialists responded to a Cypress house after a homeowner found what appeared to be an authentic grenade in their garage.
The situation happened in the 15000 block of Twilight Knoll Trail in Cypress and was reported by Harris County Pct. 4 Constable Mark Herman Tuesday evening.

Authorities arrived at the scene and determined the grenade did not contain any explosives inside of it, according to the constable’s office.
It’s unclear how the grenade ended up in the garage at this time, but authorities have speculated that a previous tenant living in the home might have left it behind.
