Man in custody after 2 people shot in E. Houston

According to Houston police, one man is in custody accused of shooting two people in east Houston

East Houston – Houston Police said that one man is custody, accused of shooting two people at a home on Valley Club Drive and Brock Park Boulevard.

According to investigators, this started when a man went to drop off his children at a home in East Houston where they reportedly live. Investigators said the man got into argument with another man inside of the house. During the argument, police said that the man inside of the home reportedly retrieved a gun and shot the second man. The victim managed to flee to Tidwell and Mesa Road, where he flagged down officers. Investigators said a woman inside of the home was also injured by the gunfire. Police said the man and woman were taken to the hospital and are expected to recover from their injuries. Officers said there were children inside of the home, but they were not hurt.

Houston Police said that the suspect was taken into custody. No word yet on what charges he may face.
