At least one dead after crash involving pedestrian on I-45

HOUSTON – A crash on the I-45 North Freeway Northbound at West Rd. has left at least one person dead.

Reports are saying the death was a pedestrian who was stricken by a vehicle. The Houston Police Department and Houston Fire Departments are on scene.

All lanes Northbound are currently closed off at West Rd.

Drivers are advised to avoid the Northbound 45 between the loop and beltway until the accident is cleared.
