KPRC 2 Meteorologist Justin Stapleton said it was warmer in Boston Tuesday morning than in Houston. This shows you just how windy and extremely cold it was.

Earlier this week, Houston also shattered a few weather-related records. On Jan. 15, 1917, the lowest maximum temperature was recorded at Bush Intercontinental Airport at 37 degrees. The new record was set on Monday at 33 degrees.

Our max temp was 37 degrees at Hobby Airport, and this was also the lowest maximum temperature recorded since Jan. 15, 1984. This means that the high for the day was the coldest ever seen on record for that day-- not the type of records we want to be breaking!

We‘ve been having dangerously cold weather this week. The wind chill made it feel like 5 degrees in Houston this morning, and with temperatures that only reached around freezing, we’re in store for another night of frigid conditions.

However, Houstonians will get some sunny weather, and this will help melt some of the ice on the roads, with highs back in the 40s Wednesday and 60s on Thursday!
