Romero has since been arrested and charged with capital murder in Lizbeth’s death. He is being held on a $2,000,000 bond.

The chief said it is unclear if Medina and Romero knew each other.

Additionally, the chief said that Jackson County is very small and that they have limited resources so it will take some time for the investigation.
