WANTED: Police identify suspect accused of shooting woman driving in west Houston

HOUSTON – Houston police are searching for a man they said shot a 22-year-old woman while she was driving in west Houston in early March.

The suspect, Josiah Elie Joseph Jacques, 22, is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

The shooting happened in the 2400 block of Gray Falls Drive about 10:30 p.m. on March 3.

Jaylan Jones, 22, told officers she was driving her vehicle when an unknown vehicle pulled up next to her. She said someone inside the vehicle then fired shots at her.

Further investigation determined Jones was shot after leaving a location where she had met someone to make a purchase. Police then identified Jacques as the perpetrator and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
