Houston man charged after stealing mail from Sugar Land subdivision, police say

SUGAR LAND, Texas – A man was arrested and charged after police say he stole mail from a subdivision in Sugar Land Friday morning.

According to Sugar Land Police Department, an officer who was working surveillance video in the Crown Gardens subdivision noticed the suspect, identified as Tu Huynh, was stealing mail from the community boxes.

Police said during the investigation, the officer found mail belonging to Sugar Land residents from various neighborhoods, eight different credit cards and counterfeit mailbox keys.

Huynh was placed into custody for mail theft and other felony charges.

Police said Huynh appears to be the same suspect who used stolen credit cards from a previous mail theft at a Home Depot in Houston on Feb. 10.
