Justin Verlander, Kate Upton celebrate 1-year wedding anniversary

HOUSTON – A year ago, Justin Verlander was on top of the world after becoming a World Series champ along with the Houston Astros and tying the knot with his wife, Kate Upton.

Upton reflected on their marriage in an Instagram post by saying this year has been the best year of her life, being married to her best friend.

This year has been the best year of my life! It had a crazy beginning with a World Series win and the BEST wedding weekend, where I got to marry my best friend and love of my life. Now to celebrate our love and our first year of marriage we are preparing to welcome a new addition to our family. I’m so excited to go through this journey of life with you! I love you so much! Although the Astros didn't win the World Series this year, Verlander and Upton have a lot to celebrate as they prepare for the birth of their first child together.
