Hillary Clinton visits Houston to accept award

HOUSTON – Former Secretary of State and first lady Hillary Clinton was in Houston on Friday to accept an award from the International Women’s Forum.

More than 40 countries participated in the group’s World Leadership Conference, which focuses on a range of topics from human trafficking to global health.

The two-day conference, which wrapped up Friday night, focused on how the topics impact women on a daily basis.

During her remarks, Clinton touched on Houston’s resilience after Hurricane Harvey, as well as a bit of baseball.

Clinton was inducted into the group’s Hall of Fame at the end of the awards gala.
