The Harris County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a deadly shooting in west Harris County early Friday morning.
According to the sheriff’s office, deputies responded to a shooting around 2:48 a.m. on the northbound lanes of SH-99 (Grand Parkway) near FM 529/Freeman Road.
When deputies arrived, they found one person who had been shot. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators have classified the case as a homicide.
No information has been released about the victim’s identity or what led to the shooting. Authorities have also not said whether a suspect has been identified or taken into custody.
All frontage lanes on SH-99 Grand Parkway at FM 529 are currently shut down while deputies investigate.
