Houston mayoral debate touches on flooding, budget issues and more

HOUSTON – Four candidates vying to be the next mayor of Houston will take the stage Friday at Houston Baptist University to debate the issues.

The debate started at 7 p.m. and was broadcasted live on KPRC 2 and streamed live at Click2Houston.com.

The candidates had to have raised more than $50,000 in political contributions as of Oct. 7. Each of the candidates who met this criterion were invited to be a part of the debate. You can read more about each of the four participating candidates here.

The debate covered topics from ethics in campaign financing to, economic growth, flood prevention, traffic, safety, census data and the budget.
