Houston mayoral debate touches on flooding, budget issues and more
HOUSTON – Four candidates vying to be the next mayor of Houston will take the stage Friday at Houston Baptist University to debate the issues.
The debate started at 7 p.m. and was broadcasted live on KPRC 2 and streamed live at Click2Houston.com.
The candidates had to have raised more than $50,000 in political contributions as of Oct. 7. Each of the candidates who met this criterion were invited to be a part of the debate. You can read more about each of the four participating candidates here .
The debate covered topics from ethics in campaign financing to, economic growth, flood prevention, traffic, safety, census data and the budget.
