Off-duty officer charged with murder in connection with shooting death of off-duty deputy brother

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TEXAS – A 35-year law enforcement veteran shot and killed his brother, who was identified as an off-duty Harris County deputy, according to authorities.

The Stagecoach Police Department officer, Robert Lee, shot his brother, who was initially identified as an intruder, around 5:30 p.m. Friday at his home in the 16100 block of Singletree Drive, authorities said.

Officials later identified the man who was killed as 57-year-old Rocky Lee, an off-duty Harris County Sheriff's Office deputy. Rocky Lee served with the Harris County Sheriff's Office for 26 years. 

Police said the off-duty deputy was found dead in a bathroom with several gunshot wounds.

Robert Lee has been charged with murder, the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office said. His bond was set at $500,000.
