HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – A Harris County man was arrested after investigators say he used online messaging to arrange a meeting with someone he believed was a child.
Maximiano Torres, 28, was charged with online solicitation of a minor following an undercover operation conducted by the Harris County Precinct 4 Constable’s Office. The charge is classified as a second-degree felony.

According to investigators, members of the constable’s Criminal Investigations Division posed as juveniles on social media while looking for adults willing to travel for a sexual encounter. Investigators said Torres communicated with an undercover officer and later traveled to an undisclosed location in north Harris County on Aug. 18.
Detectives were waiting at the location and arrested Torres, authorities said.
Torres was booked into the Harris County Jail. Court records show he has an $80,000 bond and that an ICE detainer has been issued.
Records show Torres is scheduled for arraignment on Sept. 29 at 8:30 a.m.
