Westbound 610 North Loop reopens at Airline after truck fire

HOUSTON – A large truck fire Monday closed westbound lanes of Interstate 610 North Loop at Airline Drive.

The fire was reported about 8 a.m.

A picture of the scene showed that the truck was in one of the center lanes and the fire appeared to be extinguished. Several emergency vehicles were also at the scene.

Traffic was backed up to near Shepherd Drive because of the incident.

The freeway was reopened by 9:15 a.m.

It was not immediately clear if anyone was injured.
