HOUSTON – Deputies released a sketch Monday of one of the men believed to be involved in the shooting death of another man during a carjacking last week.

Pedro Aguilar, 47, was shot March 11 while he was parking his car at his Richcrest Drive apartment.

Investigators said two men, believed to be in their late teens or early 20s, stopped their vehicle next to Aguilar. The men pulled Aguilar out of his car, pistol-whipped him and then shot him.

Deputies said the men apparently had trouble with Aguilar’s stick-shift car, jumped out of it, got into another vehicle driven by a third person and fled.

Investigators released surveillance video of the getaway car believed to have been used during the crime. It also showed some people walking and running from the scene.
