Montgomery restaurant tops Yelp Top 100 list

MONTGOMERY – A restaurant in Montgomery, Texas, may be a lot busier. Yelp has placed it at the top of its 'Best Places To Eat in 2017' list.

Tony's Italian Delicatessen is located at 16283 Highway 105 in Montgomery.

The deli is owned by Hootie and Mary Trant.

Hootie is a Conroe native, a Marine, a retired HPD officer, and he continues to serve as a member of the law enforcement community. He says Mary gave him the drive to follow his dream of owning his own restaurant.

It boasts a wide variety of items. Its menu includes sandwiches, salads, subs, brisket and pulled pork. They also make their own bacon and jerky.

Tony's Italian Delicatessen is not the only Houston-area restaurant on the list. Le’ Pam’s House of Creole is No. 60, Yoyo’s Hot Dog is No. 83, and Las Tortas Perronas is No. 89.

When compiling this list, Yelp looked at the reviews received by restaurants, considering both ratings and the volume.
