T-Mobile employee accused of stealing more than $7,000 worth of cellphones


A T-Mobile employee was arrested and charged with theft after she stole several cellphones over two years during her employment in Spring, Houston, police said.

According to authorities, Heather Gray admitted to stealing 15 cellphones at a T-Mobile store, located at 7312 Louetta Road, from July 2014 to August 2016.

A T-Mobile employee, Frank Dang, said he noticed some phones were missing during a routine audit, which followed with the company’s investigation.

According to the company, the investigation revealed that 15 phones were missing since Gray’s employment.

The company obtained a photo of Gray selling the phones at an Eco ATM and confronted Gray, and she admitted to the crime in a written statement, police said.

According to police, Gray stole multiple iPhones and Samsung Galaxy phones, which valued $7,600 in total.  

Gray is being held on a $2,000 bond, police said.
