HOUSTON – Police are searching for a person who they say shot and killed a man early Monday morning on a southwest Houston street.
The shooting was reported after midnight in the 7200 block of Atwell near South Braeswood. Police said the man was shot, but managed to make it back to his apartment, where he collapsed.

His roommate called 911. The 31-year-old man died an hour later at the hospital. He has not been identified.
Police do not have a description of a gunman or a motive.
