Woman killed, man rescued after major crash near Bammel Road in northwest Harris County

HARRIS COUNTY – A woman was killed in a major crash Thursday morning near Bammel Road and Greenbrook Drive in northwest Harris County, according to the Office of Harris County Constable Mark Herman.

Deputies responded to the crash and found a man and woman inside one of the vehicles involved.

Authorities said the woman passenger was pronounced dead at the scene. The man who was driving, was safely removed from the vehicle.

The circumstances leading up to the crash have not been released.

The roadway near Bammel Road and Greenbrook Drive remains closed as deputies investigate what caused the collision. Drivers are encouraged to avoid the area and seek alternate routes until the scene is cleared.
