Woman pepper sprays groccery store employees, police say No description found
HOUSTON – Police are searching for a woman they say pepper sprayed employees at a Houston grocery store while shoplifting.
Police said the woman entered a Kroger grocery store in the 10300 block of South Post Oak Rd. on Sept. 4 around 5:50 p.m.
The suspect placed several items inside her purse as she walked through the store and then went to the checkout line to pay for only a few items in her basket, police said.
According to investigators, the store's loss prevention officer and an employee confronted the woman on her way out and were pepper sprayed. The woman escaped.
Police described the woman as being in her 40s, around 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighing about 200 pounds.
Crime Stoppers is offering a $5,000 award for information leading to the charging and arrest of the suspect. Anyone with information is asked to call 713-222-TIPS.
