HOUSTON – U.S. News & World Report released its annual ranking of the best hospitals in the country and four in Houston are on the list.
Of 5,000 hospitals that were eligible, 137 made the cut.
Texas Children's Hospital is No. 2 nationwide for cardiology and heart surgery, neurology and pulmonology. They also had six sub-specialties tie rank in the top five.
TIRR Memorial Hermann is ranked No. 2 in the country and No. 1 in Texas for rehabilitation.
Houston Methodist Hospital is ranked No. 11 in specialties and for the fourth year in a row is named the No. 1 hospital and Texas and No. 1 in the Houston area.
The best in the nation for cancer care is MD Anderson, which has earned top honors 11 times in the last 14 years.
