Man shot to death at apartment complex

HOUSTON – A man was found shot to death at a southwest Houston apartment complex Sunday night.

Houston homicide detectives said Alberto Lopez, Jr., 22, was discovered dead around 7:00 p.m. at The Forum apartment complex on Forum West Drive near Beechnut Street.

Detectives said Lopez got into an altercation with a group of people. At some point, a man pulled out a gun and shot Lopez several times, police said.

Lopez was taken to Memorial Hermann Southwest hospital, where he died.

So far, no suspects have been named, but police are interviewing witnesses.
