Join UT MD Anderson’s 11th annual Boot Walk to End Cancer® at Helix Park Nov. 14

HOUSTON – For 11 years, Houston has stepped up to give cancer the boot. Join UT MD Anderson on Nov. 14 at Helix Park in the Texas Medical Center.

This family-friendly event brings together thousands of neighbors, friends and teams for a 1.2-mile in-person walk and supporters across the country can participate virtually from their own neighborhoods.

Boot Walk participants have raised more than $16 million to fund lifesaving research, prevention, education and patient programs at MD Anderson.

Why this milestone matters

The 2026 Boot Walk marks the start of a new decade of impact. Every step helps fuel MD Anderson’s mission to end cancer.

This year’s fundraising goal is $1.7 million, with a recruitment target of 6,000 participants and 450 teams.

All funds raised by participants (100%) support MD Anderson’s research, patient programs, prevention and education efforts; generous sponsors offset event costs so donations go directly to the mission.

How to join and make an impact

There is no registration fee. Sign up at MDAnderson.org/BootWalk and download the event app to track steps, fundraise and stay connected.

Participants can personalize their experience by fundraising, tracking steps or raising awareness for MD Anderson’s mission areas.

Teams that raise $25,000 or more and individuals who raise $10,000 or more may designate their funds to a specific MD Anderson program or project.

Whether you walk with us at Helix Park or celebrate from your community, your steps make a difference in Houston’s fight against cancer.
