Houston – The WWE Universe is getting ready for one of the most anticipated events on the calendar. Survivor Series: WarGames is returning to Houston this November, and WWE Superstar Trick Williams stopped by Houston Life to talk about the excitement, his journey in the ring, and what fans can expect from one of WWE’s biggest events of the year.
Williams reflected on his path to becoming a WWE Superstar, sharing that he first signed with WWE in 2021. Before stepping into the ring, he grew up inspired by athletes and entertainers who could captivate an audience.
Now, Williams has built a reputation as one of WWE’s most energetic performers. He explained that his “Trick” persona is an extension of who he is, allowing him to turn up the intensity when the lights come on.
For a WWE Superstar, the work doesn’t stop when the match ends. Williams opened up about the physical demands of performing night after night, including recovering from injuries while continuing to entertain fans.
“I just had a match where I split my head open,” he said. “But the show must go on.”
Despite the challenges, Williams says the energy from the crowd makes it all worth it, especially when performing in front of passionate fans in Houston and having tens of thousands of fans are chanting “WHOOP THAT TRICK.”
The conversation also touched on Williams’ personal life. The WWE Superstar recently married fellow WWE star Anriel Howard who goes by Lash Legend, sharing that their relationship grew from a connection built while they were both pursuing their athletic careers.
Now, Williams is focused on the next big chapter: Survivor Series: WarGames. The event marks the 40th annual Survivor Series and continues WWE’s long history of unforgettable moments.
Williams highlighted the significance of the event, pointing out that some of WWE’s biggest stars have had major moments at Survivor Series, including Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Houston native The Undertaker.
