HOUSTON – If you’ve ever dreamed of dancing on the court at Toyota Center during a Houston Rockets game, now’s your chance!
The Houston Rockets are hosting 2026 Clutch City Dancers open auditions on Saturday, August 15th.

Audition Details
- Date: Saturday, August 15, 2026
- Registration: 8:00 a.m.
- Auditions Begin: 9:00 a.m.
- Registration Fee: $35 (cash only)
Location
Tellepsen Family Downtown YMCA Registration: 8:00 AM | Auditions: 9:00 AM Applications close at 11:59 PM the night before auditions, so don’t wait.

Who Can Audition? Applicants must:
- Be 18 years or older
- Be a high school graduate
- Present a valid photo ID on audition day
- Be either a full-time college student and/or employed full time
The Rockets ask auditionees to wear:
- A fitted black two-piece dance outfit (must show the midriff; no pants)
- White dance or athletic shoes with non-marking soles
- Flesh-tone tights or pantyhose (optional)
- Performance-ready hair and makeup
The Clutch City Dancers are searching for performers who demonstrate:
- Strong dance technique
- Athleticism and stamina
- Confidence and showmanship
- A positive attitude
- Professionalism
- The ability to quickly learn choreography
- Excellent communication skills as ambassadors for the Rockets organization
What Does the Team Do? The Clutch City Dancers perform:
- At every Houston Rockets home game
- At community events throughout Houston
- Corporate appearances
- Charity events
- NBA special events and international appearances
