HOUSTON – Fast-paced, professional 3-on-3 basketball is gaining fans across the country thanks to the BIG3, a league founded by Ice Cube and entertainment executive Jeff Kwatinetz that features former NBA players and other professional talent. Houston is represented by the Houston Rig Hands, one of the league’s franchises.
Houston Rig Hands co-captain Jonathon Simmons and player Adam Drexler stopped by “Houston Life” to explain what makes the 3-on-3 format unique and preview the team’s upcoming Battle of Texas matchup against the Dallas Power.

The team is led by head coach and NBA Hall of Famer Calvin Murphy and features a roster that includes Simmons, Drexler, Isaiah Austin, Kevin Murphy and Vance Jackson.
The Rig Hands take on the Dallas Power on Sunday, July 26, at Toyota Center. Fans can also enjoy pregame entertainment from Calvin Murphy’s Marching Thunder, along with performances from BG and H3adband.
