Houston – The big top is back in Houston.
UniverSoul Circus has returned to Sam Houston Race Park with its all-new production, “We All Belong,” bringing together world-class performers, high-energy entertainment and interactive fun for audiences of all ages.
On Houston Life, Ringmaster Donald “N.O” Longshared what makes UniverSoul Circus unlike any other live show.
“It’s like a family reunion,” Long said. “You’re not just watching a performance. You’re experiencing the culture, the music and the energy together.”
Now celebrating 32 years, the production features performers representing 12 countries across five continents. Audiences can expect everything from daring motorcycle stunts and aerial acrobatics to roller skating, comedy, dance and live music.
Houston Life viewers also got a special preview from two out of the 10 Elite Soul Skaters. Rocio Merchan and Michele Torres wowed viewers with a fast-paced roller skating performance showcasing the skill, precision, and athleticism that have become crowd favorites under the big top.
This year’s show also includes the Ethiopian Pole Act, the Morning Doves aerial duo, the Caribbean Street Carnival, Fresh the Clowns, fire breathers, stilt performers and gravity-defying motorcycle stunt artists soaring high above the arena.
Opening weekend also celebrates the Houston community with themed performances, including City of Houston Night, Veterans and First Responders Night, Youth Sports Day and International Night. Houston rapper and philanthropist Trae the Truth will also serve as guest ringmaster during a special Sunday performance.
UniverSoul Circus runs through Aug. 2 at Sam Houston Race Park. Tickets start at $25, and opening weekend includes a special promotion where children can attend free with the purchase of an adult ticket by using the promo code ‘KIDSFREE.’
