Houston – The Houston Rockets Skills Camp presented by Adidas is back this summer with four camp sessions designed to help young players build confidence and sharpen their skills on the court.
The first camp session is already underway this week at Alodia Basketball Academy in Tomball. Houston Life reporter Lauren Leal took the trip to the camp where NBA veteran forward and Rockets Alum Carl Landry was on-site explaining his workout routines and sharing basketball knowledge and drills with the youth.
The camps are open to boys and girls ages 8-16, with instruction led by experienced coaches using a structured curriculum developed by Rockets Legend, Matt Bullard. Each day runs 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and focuses on fundamentals including shooting, ball-handling, footwork and agility, with an emphasis on keeping the environment encouraging and high-energy.
Campers will also have access to exclusive training from Memorial Hermann specialists, including guidance on dynamic stretching, nutrition, and mental health resources.
Participants receive a T-shirt, water bottle and backpack, along with two tickets to a 2026-27 Rockets home game.
Registration still available for two upcoming camps
- June 15-19: Tellepsen Family Downtown YMCA (Houston)
- July 27-31: The Den Sports Facility (Cypress)
