HOUSTON – Discovery Green is celebrating summer with free family fun and plenty of soccer-inspired events!
Throughout June and July, the downtown park will transform into a hub of soccer-inspired fun, featuring free concerts, fitness classes, outdoor movies, family activities, food trucks, and community events celebrating Houston’s culture and diversity.
Visitors can enjoy a variety of international food trucks, Sunday evening concerts showcasing local artists, soccer skills workshops, line dancing, and wellness programming.
Popular park attractions, including bumper boats and cruiser boats on Kinder Lake, will also be available throughout the summer.
Other highlights include:
- Sunday Concert Series (June 14–July 19) featuring local music and cultural performances
- Soccer Summer: Kicks & Coffee on Saturdays with pickup soccer games and skills training for all ages
- Screen on the Green outdoor movie nights, including a showing of Bend It Like Beckham
- Park After Dark every Thursday in June with music, games, dancing, and extended park hours
- International Day of Yoga and Make Music Day celebration on June 21
- Free fitness classes including Yoga en Español, Hip Hop Yoga, Gentle Yoga, Tai Chi, and Yoga Better
Throughout the celebration, H-E-B will host surprise pop-ups with ice cream samples and soccer-themed giveaways.
