Houston rodeo season 2026: Food specials, events and pop-ups

The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo season is underway, and restaurants, bars and hotels across the city are rolling out limited-time menus, watch parties and special events.

TRUTH BBQ & CRAVE Cupcakes: The Houston favorites are teaming up for a limited-time Smoke & Honey cupcake featuring sweet corn cake, honey-barbecue frosting, smoked brisket and candied jalapeño, available Feb. 26 through March 22 while supplies last. The $8 cupcake is sold at CRAVE locations on Kirby Drive and Uptown Park Boulevard, and at TRUTH BBQ’s Heights location on weekends.

Goode Company: The Houston staple is rolling out rodeo-season specials and events across its restaurants, including a limited-time Smoky Dog benefiting the Southern Smoke Foundation and early access to its Chocolate Bourbon Pecan Pie. Rodeo Cook-Off Weekend will also bring late-night live music with Lone Star Beer at Goode Co. Armadillo Palace, plus special menu items at the Houston Rodeo booth. Goode Company events and offerings will take place at Armadillo Palace, Goode Co. Barbeque locations and NRG Park in Houston.

Bread Zeppelin: The restaurant is celebrating rodeo season with a limited-time “Rodeo” Jalapeño Sausage Zeppelin, available March 3–30. The specialty sandwich features jalapeño sausage, fresh jalapeños, corn salad, pickled red onions, tomatoes and kale slaw, stuffed into a warm baguette. Bread Zeppelin has Houston locations at 3235 Southwest Fwy and 9753 Katy Fwy.

InterContinental Houston: The hotel is offering a rodeo-season stay package that includes complimentary self-parking, daily breakfast for two, a rodeo-themed welcome amenity and two handcrafted cocktails. Transportation to the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo is included based on availability. InterContinental Houston is located in downtown Houston.

Hotel Saint Augustine is launching Rodeo Rendezvous (Julie Soefer)

Hotel Saint Augustine: The Montrose hotel is launching Rodeo Rendezvous, a multi-week luxury Western pop-up series running Feb. 24 through March 22, transforming two guest rooms into a rotating boutique during rodeo season. Each week features a new lineup of vendors, including bespoke hat makers, fine artists, vintage curators, jewelry designers and a high-end photo booth experience. Rodeo Rendezvous takes place at Hotel Saint Augustine, located in Houston’s Montrose area.

Pho Prime & Gatlin’s BBQ: The two Houston favorites are teaming up for a limited-time rodeo-season collaboration featuring a Pho Bowl and Pho Dip Sandwich made with Gatlin’s smoked brisket, available March 2–22. The specials blend Texas barbecue with Vietnamese comfort food and can be ordered at Pho Prime’s Pearland and Bellaire/Chinatown locations, as well as Gatlin’s BBQ on Ella Boulevard.

J.D. Silva & Associates: The Pearland-based law firm is offering free Lyft rides from the Houston Rodeo and Barbecue Cook-Off to promote safe driving during rodeo kickoff week. Up to 250 rides will be available Feb. 26 through March 5 using a promo code in the Lyft app. The rides are valid for trips departing NRG Park within the designated service area.

Giddy Up Cookie (Pudgy’s Fine Cookies)

Pudgy’s Fine Cookies: The Houston bakery is teaming up with Nan & Company Properties on a limited-edition Giddy Up Cookie, available Feb. 10 through March 10 for rodeo season. The cowboy-style cookie features oats, chocolate, coconut and pecans, with options to buy singles or boxed sets.

Hyatt Regency Houston Downtown: The hotel is hosting a Rodeo Parade Watch Party on Feb. 28 from 10 a.m. to noon, featuring premium parade viewing, food and drinks, a post-parade vendor market and live music. Tickets are $40 and include seating, two drink tickets and one food ticket. The event takes place at 1200 Louisiana St. in downtown Houston.

Portillo’s: The Chicago-style favorite is opening its sixth Houston-area location in Humble on Tuesday, Feb. 24, near Deerbrook Mall. To mark rodeo season, Portillo’s is offering a limited-time $6 Rodeo Burger for Houston-area Perks members from March 2–8. Portillo’s is located at 111 FM 1960 Bypass Road E. in Humble.
