Mix-MATCH Festival returns with over 20 performances celebrating Houston’s creative spirit

Featuring performances and exhibits—including a roller skating dance group

Houston – The third annual Mix-MATCH Festival is rolling back into Midtown Arts and Theater Center Houston (MATCH) this Saturday for a vibrant, one-day celebration of Houston’s vibrant creative community.

With 23 dynamic performances and art installations handpicked from over 70 submissions through a blind peer review, this festival showcases everything from performance art and dance to film, music, spoken word, comedy, poetry and visual arts.

One of the standout acts this year is Daisies & Pancakes, a roller skating dance crew and custom skate shop founded by Brandi Myasia. Fusing sneaker culture with skate life, they’ve built a passionate community through lessons and events at spots like Texas Southern University and Discovery Green.
