Dixie Longate spills the (Tupperware) tea behind the scenes of her one-woman show

HOUSTON – The fast-talking, positivity-spreading, red-headed beauty Dixie Longate has been entertaining and inspiring audiences with her one-woman show, ‘Dixie’s Tupperware Party’ for 17 years. Her two week run at Stages Houston has left packed audiences in stitches as she showcases her versatile Tupperware products while at the same time sharing heartwarming details about some of her hardships and triumphs in life.

“There is this message of love and empowerment and celebrating yourself and finding the goodness in people around you, and I think we need to hear that more than ever,” said Dixie, noting the show feels just as relevant today as it did when she first wrote it nearly two decades ago.

Although this is Dixie’s final Tupperware tour through Texas, it won’t be too long before she’s back, bringing new work to the stage. Watch the behind-the-scenes tour with Houston Life co-host Derrick Shore, who spoke with Dixie right before showtime.
