Get inspired at PlantCon and create a garden on your balcony or patio

Houston – No space? No problem! Kenny Nguyen from Houston Plant Market stopped by Studio B to tell us about container gardening for small spaces. It’s easier than you think. With the right products, and I little TLC, you can turn your balcony or patio into a thriving green space.

Kenny showed us how to create an elevated container garden using cinder blocks and wood planks. Place your plants on the floor, under the planks for shade or prop them on top for extra space.

Many of products we featured in today’s segments are locally available. PlantsxLife and Itchy Acres graciously donated the plants while, Sols Soil and Casco Soil donated the soil.

Don’t forget about the 2nd annual PlantCon. It takes place on April 13th and 14th. Thousands of hobbyists, hundreds of sellers, and dozens of plant organizations will be in one place at NRG for all of your planting needs. PlantCon aims to represent and include all of these institutions under one centralized event to help you get to know all of them in an effective and affordable way. Click here for details and tickets. They start at just $25.
