HOUSTON – The Houston Sports Awards is all about celebrating Houston sports greats, and all they do in the community.
It’s one of our favorite events to cover because sports really do bring everybody together.
Houston Life got to cover the “Purple Carpet” interviews at last night’s 6th annual event, where Lauren Kelly was in the middle of it all!
Everyone is used to seeing athletes on the field, on the court, in their elements - so it was a nice change of pace to see them all dressed up at the Wortham Theater Center downtown without their game faces.
From Calvin Murphy, to Jeremy Pena, to Jose Altuve, and Alex & Reagan Bregman, watch as Lauren Kelly and KPRC 2 Sports Director Randy McIlvoy interview some of the Houston sports legends on the purple carpet last night.
