Local actress Amelia Rico on her role in Paramount+’s ‘1923’

HOUSTON – She’s a mom of two who also happens to be in one of the most popular shows in America!

Amelia Rico is the Houston-based actress who is part of the new ‘Yellowstone’ prequel spinoff, Paramount+’s ‘1923′.

She joined Houston Life to chat about her incredible experience on set and shared the scoop on the star-studded series premiere in Las Vegas where she rubbed elbows with actors Helen Mirren and Harrison Ford, who play Jacob and Cara Dutton in the hit western drama.

In this new series, The Duttons face a new set of challenges in the early 20th century, including the rise of Western expansion, prohibition, and the Great Depression. Rico, plays Issaxche, a Crow woman hoping to reunite with her family.

However. this is not the first time Rico appears in the Yellowstone universe created by Taylor Sheridan. She actually made her network TV debut on an episode of the third season of ‘Yellowstone.’

While Rico has big things in store in Hollywood, she continues to run Ricornel Productions, an award-winning production company she founded with her husband which creates films for actors and writers here in Houston.
