Lowe's: Beware of Facebook coupon scam

HOUSTON – Lowe's Companies Inc. has identified a scam in which people are being fooled into thinking they're receiving a $50 or $100 coupon on Facebook.

After a woman contacted the home improvement store via Facebook asking if the coupon was real, Lowe's responded, "The coupon is not affiliated with Lowe's in any way. This is a phishing scam. Please be careful."

In another inquiry from a customer about the coupon, Lowe's said the coupons are a scam being used to gather information.

I keep seeing free $50 and $100 coupons from Lowes on Facebook. The link asks you to "click here" and take a survey. Is this legit or a scam?
