Cookin' Time with H-E-B: Homemade Chimichurri, Pesto sauce made from scratch!

HOUSTON – H-E-B Chef Kathryn teaches KPRC viewers how to make delicious oil-based dips and sauces in the latest Cookin' Time with H-E-B installment. 

Homemade Chimichurri
Preparation Time: 5 minutes
Makes 4-5 Servings

Ingredients:

½ cup Parsley chopped
1tsp   Salt
1 tbs. chopped Garlic
1 ½ cup of  Ottavio Olive Oil
3  tsp balsamic  vinegar

1. Mix all ingredients in a bowl or a blender  and Sever on ANYTHING!!!

Homemade  Pesto

Preparation Time: 5 minutes

Makes 4-5 Servings

 

Ingredients:

 

1 oz Basil Leaves (approx. 15)

½ cup shredded Parmesan

4 garlic cloves

1 ½ cup of  Ottavio Olive Oil

½ cup  almonds 

 

1. Put everything in a blender and liquefy on high for about 1 min. Serve with bread or on pasta. Great on everything!!!
