Friday’s Forecast:

Friday will feature more sunshine and noticeably fewer storms, although a stray shower or thunderstorm could still develop late in the afternoon along the sea or bay breeze. Rain chances remain near 20%, so most of the Houston area should stay dry. Watch for a few showers and thunderstorms north of I-10 from 3 PM to 8 PM.

Afternoon temperatures will climb into the mid-90s, with heat index values potentially reaching around 105 degrees.

Weekend Forecast:

A more typical summertime weather pattern settles into Houston this weekend, bringing mostly dry conditions and plenty of heat. Saturday will be partly sunny with a high near 95 degrees, while Sunday should be mostly sunny with temperatures around 96 degrees. Rain chances will be very low, but the combination of heat and humidity will make it feel hotter than the actual temperature. Overnight lows will remain in the mid-to-upper 70s, with some urban and coastal locations struggling to fall below 80 degrees.
