Saturday’s Forecast:
Morning temperatures are expected to dip into the 60s over the weekend, which is a welcome break from the typical average of 71 degrees for this time of year.
The official arrival of autumn brings even more reasons to smile about the weather. Afternoon highs are forecast to reach the upper 80s to lower 90s, but low humidity should keep things feeling comfortable whether you’re heading out early or staying out all day.
Sunny skies are expected to stick around throughout the weekend, making this stretch feel “Autumn amazing,” “Pumpkin perfect,” and “Fall fantastic.” If you’ve been waiting for the perfect time to make outdoor plans, this weekend is shaping up to be it.
Tropical outlook:
Tropical Storm Humberto is less than 500 miles east-northeast of the Northern Leeward islands with 40 mph. It continues to rapidly intensify into a major hurricane is currently bringing no impacts to land.
Tropical wave across Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Bahamas and Turks and Calicos Islands is now Potential Tropical Cyclone #9. It is expected to form into a tropical storm and eventually a Hurricane through the weekend and early week.
This storm will continue to move to the north potentially bringing tropical moisture across the south eastern United States coast with direct impacts like strong winds, heavy rain and large swells to South Carolina, Georgia and Florida.
Gabrielle is now a post-tropical cyclone as it moves east towards Portugal. There is more brewing in the Atlantic.
There are no tropical systems set to impact the Gulf Coast.
