Rain chances will come to end Friday morning before sunrise.

Rain continues to move east

After early morning rain chances there there maybe some wrap around moisture in the evening into Friday night that could spark a few showers and storms. These will be spotty in nature.

If you are looking for good news, a north wind will help bring in “cooler temperatures” that will carry into Mother’s day weekend.

Mother’s Day Weekend:

Rain chances hover around 20% Saturday, and Sunday, so if you have Mother’s Day plans, you don’t need to cancel them.

The cold front will clear the area, bringing drier and cooler air and dropping temperatures into the upper 70s and low 80s.

There is one fly in the ointment for the holiday weekend, though. An upper-level low that develops east of SE Texas could increase rain chances if it moves to the west, it will bring more clouds than we wanted for mom but for now, we’re keeping rain chances at 20%.
