Happy Friday-eve, my friends! I’ve wondered about the benefits for this button for as long as I’ve been driving. If you’re looking for it, you’ll find it, but it’s often the thing you likely look at and aren’t sure what to do with it. Our amazing Digital Special Projects Manager describes this button perfectly: “...The recirculation button is the button on your dash that sports a car outline with a U-shaped arrow inside of it. This button stops air flow from outside your vehicle so your air conditioner recirculates the air inside of the vehicle that’s already cool or on its way to being cool.”
Now, did you know it could save you money on gas? Yeah, me neither. Check out how it works its magic, right here.
Saturday is a big day in Houston! The Houston Pride LGBT+ Celebration is taking place from noon to 10 p.m. The 44th Annual Official Houston Pride LGBT+ Celebration will take place downtown at Houston City Hall and is expected to attract thousands of festival-goers. Expect added traffic on McKinney, Bagby, and Lamar Streets. You can get more information on ticket prices and event details here.
Memorial Drive closure
It all starts Friday morning, if you’re planning on checking out the new Memorial Park Land Bridge Tunnels, or going out for Saturday morning run, get ready, because Memorial Drive will be shut down in both directions. Crews will be installing large support beams for three new ravine bridges which will connect park visitors through some of the most scenic and shaded portions of the three-mile trail.
The closure starts at 10 a.m. Friday and will be in place through 8 p.m. Sunday between East Memorial Loop Drive and West Memorial Loop Drive. Drivers should use the Westcott/610 or the Woodway Drive/610 intersection to access Memorial Park.
Drive safely my friends :)
