The Liberty County Sheriff’s Office is warning residents about a wave of scam calls in the county. They say the callers pose as law enforcement and try to intimidate people into handing over personal information or money.

During a news conference on Thursday, Civil Rights Attorney Randall Kallinen said 911 calls are critical pieces of evidence that are not being entered into the criminal justice system fast enough so prosecutors and defense attorneys can analyze them.
