We’re officially less than two weeks away from Selection Sunday, and the nation’s top teams are doing whatever it takes to bolster their rankings and find their way into the field of 68.

Here’s some information about each of the Texas teams in March Madness

Malik Dunlap returned the first of his two interceptions for a touchdown, Tahj Brooks set a career high with 158 yards rushing and Texas Tech got its first win of the season, 41-3 win over lower-division Tarleton State.

Kedrian Johnson scored 20 points, Tre Mitchell added 17 points and nine rebounds, and No. 8 seed West Virginia rolled to a 78-62 victory over ninth-seeded Texas Tech in the opening round of the Big 12 Tournament on Wednesday night.

Texas Tech has named second-year assistant Corey Williams as its interim coach for Big 12 tournament as the school continues its investigation of suspended coach Mark Adams.

The head coach is also being investigated for allegedly spitting on a player during a game earlier in the season.

Former Klein Collins High School baseball player Jackson Loftin has been drafted by the Houston Astros.

Texas Tech is planning a $200 million project consisting of new four-story building in the south end zone that will include locker rooms, offices for coaches and a field-level club area that the Red Raiders will go through before football games.

Skylar Thompson passed for 296 yards and the go-ahead touchdown in the fourth quarter, rallying Kansas State in the second half of a 25-24 victory over Texas Tech. The Wildcats came up big on Texas Tech's final two plays with a pair of sacks.
